William J. Lowry Jr., MD, is a board-certified physician practicing physical medicine and rehabilitation who joined the team at Center for Orthopaedics in 2010. Dr. Lowry is originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from McNeese State University. He earned a master’s degree in Natural Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and a medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean. 

After graduating, Dr. Lowry completed an internship in preliminary medicine at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Lowry is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Spine Intervention Society.

Dr. Lowry’s primary goal is to restore pain-free function to patients with non-surgical management and treatment options. He specializes in the treatment of back and neck pain, musculoskeletal pain, Botox treatment for migraines, spasticity, and occupational and sports-related injuries.
