Dr. William Lowry Earns Board Certification

William Lowry Jr., MD, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist with Center for Orthopaedics, has been awarded Certification by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR), one of the 24 certifying boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Originally from Lake Charles, Dr. Lowry received a Bachelor of Science from McNeese State University. He earned a Master’s Degree in Natural Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and a Medical Degree from American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Lowry completed an internship in Preliminary Medicine at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Lowry specializes in treating injuries or illnesses of the nerves, muscles and bones that affect movement. He treats a wide range of problems from back pain to arthritis, with the goal of decreasing pain and enhancing performance without surgery. Dr. Lowry sees patients in the Lake Charles, Sulphur and DeRidder offices of Center for Orthopaedics.
