Matthew McCabe, D.P.M., is a foot and ankle specialist and chief resident of the CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency Program, which is a partnership with Imperial Health. He was selected as the first doctor to enter the program, which began in 2015.
Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Dr. McCabe received his undergraduate degree in exercise science from Utah State University and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. McCabe is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Student Association, the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Dr. McCabe also has volunteer experience in community organizations in the podiatry field and has his private pilot license.
Because the residency is part of Center for Orthopaedics (CFO), an affiliate of Imperial Health and the region’s largest musculoskeletal group, Dr. McCabe works closely with experienced orthopaedic surgeons and specialists, and also works within the group’s sports medicine program, which provides services to 14 area high schools.
