Rheumatologist Enrique Mendez Joins Center for Orthopaedics

The Center for Orthopaedics has announced the addition of Enrique Mendez, MD, FACP, FACR, rheumatologist, to their physician staff. Dr. Mendez has practiced medicine in Southwest Louisiana since 2001 and specializes in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematous and a wide range of other rheumatology related disorders.

Dr. Mendez earned a medical degree from Universidad Salvadoreina Alberto Masferrer (USAM) in El Salvador, then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Vernon Hospital, an affiliate of the New York Medical College in Mount Vernon, New York. He then completed a rheumatology fellowship at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Mendez is also a member of the Louisiana Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and the state and local medical societies.

Dr. Mendez’s new office is located in the building to the east of the Center for Orthopaedics’ main office in Lake Charles. The address is 1727 Imperial Blvd., Bldg. B. Call (337) 312-8617 to schedule an appointment.

Center for Orthopaedcs is the region’s largest, musculoskeletal medical practice, with 14 doctors and two locations.
